Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bentley. It's made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as an unreleased booklet with 1930s 8 Litre images.

It's the perfect present to welcome a new owner to their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

As a design-driven company, Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It shows in the precision positioning of its quilting, the selection of leather from the by-products of cattle, wood from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. As you approach a car like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully selected lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever created. Its rear tonneau, as an example, showcased the biggest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to an actual production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, quality and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand. The company continues to push the boundaries using the most advanced technologies and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear window sunroof and a crafted Apple iPad docking station.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, one hundred years after it was founded. The marque, now owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of tense relations with BMW and BMW, had planned a series of special launches and events to celebrate this significant occasion. Before the pandemic planning took the center stage, the company had a number of special events and launches planned to commemorate this significant occasion.

Design

Bentley is known as a luxury car manufacturer that produces lavish and extravagant cars. But even the keys are an oath. The Bentayga Key is constructed of sterling silver and features the large B' logo to show everyone that you're a Bentley. It also has the years 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centenary.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and developed the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. The rear seats are designed to provide passengers with unmatched comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. A custom heating, air conditioning and ventilation system has been designed to provide each passenger with the perfect climate control setting.

The Mulsanne features a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine with 560bhp as well as 479lb-ft torque. This power is paired with a new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned smooth ride.

Bentley has announced a special specification for cars built after the year 2019 to commemorate its centennial. It is known as the Centenary Specification. The cabin is equipped with cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This makes it more fun to celebrate. The Centenary Specification also includes a bespoke Bentley keycase, adding to the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with buttons that open the trunk and another that turns on the car. It also has a switch that can activate the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parking in a tight area. Utilizing this feature can assist you in getting into and out of your car more quickly.

The key is constructed from vegetable tanned leather. It takes two days to create each one. It is cut by hand shape, sewn, sealed and polished to give an extremely high-end finish. It is durable small and compact, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a luxurious feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. This device is put into the remote-control fob and then shuts it off if the key is not utilized for a period of a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can be used to open and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects company's values of exquisite craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and modern technology. Over  bentley key replacement  are employed at the Crewe headquarters, responsible for the development, design and production of Bentley cars. They apply their skills that have been handed down through generations to cutting-edge automotive technologies. This is British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own vehicle. The customers sit at a set of images referred to as "mood stations" and pick a set of images ranging from scenic views to sporting events that are inspiring to them to design their own. After each selection is made, a pattern appears and reveals the models and colors of the custom Bentley.

The guests receive keys made by hand, which contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can also be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps which light the door's opening path with the owner's name and/or emblem when they are approaching the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man hours to design and put together the typical Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the key to this laborious task. The Crewe factory workers do not make use of a machine to create perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. And rather than letting the car's built in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spots, drivers have to do it manually.

At the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one of a kind of the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to the founder William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars come with one key that features a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
